Las lesiones deportivas son muy comunes en pacientes de esta especialidad

  • Back pain: caused for bad positioning or bad habits in our work, lifting heavy things in the wrong way.

  • Cervical pain: cased for bad positioning while working on computers and in recent years due to excessive use of cellphones.

  • Finer pain: excessive use of cellphones, or in jobs that involves a repetitive movement or friction (massages).

  • Sprains: ligaments twists found around a joint.

  • Torn ligaments: knee ligaments (for those who practice soccer or basketball), shoulder ligaments (for those who practice baseball, but basically any sport that requires use of arms).

  • Bone fracture: most of the time these are caused by direct contact.

  • Joint wear: which in most cases leads to prosthesis placement, hip and knee mainly.

  • Osteoporosis: bone mass decrease which causes the weakening of bones, making it more susceptible to fracture.

  • Neurological conditions or diseases: CVD (cerebrovascular disease) also known as stroke; it may cause lack of strength on arms, legs or both (sometimes it loses the ability to walk or use the arm), loss of equilibrium or speak difficulties. In these cases Physiotherapy is required to help the patients to return to their daily activities as soon as possible.

  • After an aesthetic surgery: ultrasound therapy is required (deep heat) to avoid scar formation.
