The ovaries are about the size and shape of an almond, part of the female reproductive system and produce ovules and female hormones (estrogen and progesterone).

Cancer of the ovary is not so common and often goes undetected until it has spread within the abdomen and pelvis. Early-stage ovarian cancer is more likely to be treated successfully.

  • You might be able to lower the risk by staying at a healthy weight and stop taking hormone replacement therapy after Menopause

  • Imaging tests. Such as CT Scans or ultrasound
  • Blood tests
  • Pap Smear
